The LFC Water Polo team is a co-ed program designed to introduce the sport of water polo to male and female athletes. Through games and activities, players will learn the basics of water polo, such as offensive and defensive strategies, and skills like passing and shooting the ball. This program is developed to harness all the fun, dynamic aspects of water polo in a safe, easy to learn aquatic experience that will motivate kids to swim and stay fit. Players must be age 8 or older and should be strong swimmers.
LFC Water Polo team practices are held Monday – Thursday from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m., unless there is a scheduled swim meet. The Water Polo team participates in matches in a round-robin circuit with other teams in the Intersuburban Swim Conference. The matches are typically held Sunday mornings. This schedule will be posted on the LFC Swim/Dive/Water Polo Key Dates as it becomes finalized.
The fee for joining the Water Polo team is $60 and is waived for any LFC High School member. Registration is available under the “Membership” tab after logging in to the LFC membership system.
