Diving is a fun and thrilling sport, marked by athleticism and grace. The LFC continues to offer excellent programs with both beginner and advanced group lessons and a dive team.

With two diving boards for instruction, The LFC offers mixed ability lessons.  Beginners can expect to learn the basics including front and back dives.  More advanced divers will learn new, more difficult dives, dependent on individual readiness. Lessons are great preparation and additional training for Dive Team. For more information, please consult the information packet.

To participate in Dive Team, your child must have either been a member of the team last season or completed Dive Lessons at the LFC and have passed the assessment to be held on May 29 at 6 pm. Birthday cut off is June 1.

If you have any questions regarding Dive Team, please contact Tara Bradbury, Sara Molenda, or Jennifer Johnston (use the LFC directory).  If your child needs to be pulled from a meet due to illness, please call one of them immediately, or leave an urgent message at the front desk.

Practices
Birthday cut off is June 1.  Divers who are 10 and under will practice Monday-Thursday from 8:00 - 8:45am. Those 11 and up are scheduled from 9:25-10:10am, also Monday-Thursday.  Fun Fridays are for everyone, from 9-10am. There are evening practices for both age groups Monday-Thursday, from 5-6pm. Please e-mail lfcswimanddive@gmail.com if you have questions.

Apparel
Though not required for participation, team swimsuits are available for purchase through Urban Tri Gear. The team suit for the next two years will be the TYR Aurora in blue. The girls’ suit is $46.25 and the boys’ jammer is $29.50 if ordered by April 23rd.

If you are not sure you want to purchase a suit at this time, you can size your swimmer/diver and either order one over the phone or purchase one at Urban Tri Gear at a later time. It is best to order early to ensure your child’s size is available.

Urban Tri Gear is located at 840 E Ogden Ave in Westmont, 630-230-9386. They can offer a 10% discount on swim gear (bags, goggles, etc.) at the store if you mention that you are a member of LFC.  .
